HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Fly Safe. Fly Smart.

WELCOME to 21 Air’s new hires. TAPA’s Officers and Committee Chairmen look forward to meeting you as you transition out to the line. We thank Capt. Jim Scheidler for stepping up and volunteering to be our new Secretary / Treasurer (S/T). TAPA sends our heart-felt thanks to Andrew Saridakis for his service. MAY 15, 2022 LOA -The Company presented our pay rates, bonus, 401K and medical plan. TAPAs has proposed to meet with the Company in January. A history lesson for those of you relatively new here is the Negotiating Committee reviewed the May 15 proposal and verbally accepted a Tentative Agreement (TA) but we had several questions that hard-stopped us from signing it. We assembled a group of questions we plan to present to the Company if they accept our proposal to meet in January. TAPA is willing to sign the “TA” if the Company is willing to negotiate the details of the May 15th agreement.

PAY RATES As you might know many of our competitors are again 20-30 percent higher than 21Air rates and we run the risk of continuing to lose pilots. We know some of our competitors are strongly recruiting from our ranks. We have seen one signing bonus of $150K from the regionals. TAPA wants to see our flying grow and our interests are to secure the best pay rates possible. We have proposed to meet with the Company in early January to continue this discussion.

RETENTION BONUSES The LOA is payable to the pilots flying here on May 15, 2022. Some questions that TAPA would like to address are for pilots that moved from FO to Captain, the funds that accumulate when qualified pilots leave the Company and partial or prorated bonus payouts. It was a “basketful of questions” that caused the Committee to vote 6:1 against approving the LOA. TAPA considers this bonus retention fund as previously allocated with the pay raises and benefits. We would like to see the bonus paid as scheduled May 15 and then integrate future bonuses into rate increases for all pilots.

EXPECT SURVEY POSTING & DIRECTIONS - DEC 7, 2022.

SURVEY LINK One of the ideal ways to address 21Air changes is to survey pilots for future negotiations. We will address the monthly guarantee, pay rates, scheduling and benefits. In the interim, log on to www.21air.org and click on the message icon to send your comments. Send us your top five areas of change. That helps TAPA shape the deals and expectations for what is possible and what we will propose to the Company. Look for the pilot survey coming soon to www.21air.org. Click on the NEWS toolbar at the top of the web page.

AMAS is a high-value medical website for your FAA medical questions. It’s staffed by FAA-AMEs that have pilot interests in mind and can confidentially assist with medical issues you might have. TAPA partners with AMAS for medical services. There’s a $49 fee to consult. See www.aviationmedicine.com A follow-up call is included.

ZED FARES We started work on a pass program a few months ago looking into options on how it might function. Basically, TAPA will be paying the yearly fee for our pilots to sign-in and be able to purchase ID.90 (10%) tickets. It appears we qualify as an air carrier, so stay tuned as we release more details on this great travel program.

DUES OR FEES? TAPA was informed by our collections group that certified letters are being sent later this week. If you want to avoid fees, contact your TAPA officers, ASAP. After the notice period, DCO fees increase substantially. Some guys have paid their back dues and returned to TAPA for member benefits. Welcome back!
